Mentri
Capture layer · Enabling mechanism

Invite Mentri into the session. The rest runs itself.

Recording, transcription, and analysis happen in the background, so the material flows straight into recap, debrief, nudges, and future prep — without manual upload or copy-paste.

What it is

Mentri Transcriber is the capture mechanism that makes the rest of the product run without manual lifting. The coach invites Mentri into the session; recording, transcription, upload, and analysis are handled automatically. The transcript and its downstream outputs then appear on the platform without you moving material around.

How it works

Mentri joins the live session as an invited participant. Audio is transcribed and processed in the background, then linked to the client's timeline.

From there, the transcript feeds into Client Recap, Coaching Debrief, Nudges, Session Prep, and the AI Companion context — with no manual upload step in between.

What coaches get out of this

  • The full Mentri workflow runs itself after you invite the Transcriber into the session — no manual upload, no copy-paste.

  • Keeps ongoing use of Mentri sustainable across your practice.

  • Session evidence in one place, wired into recap, debrief, nudges, Companion context, and future Session Prep.

What clients get out of this

  • Faster, more grounded recap, nudges, and Companion continuity — because the session evidence is already in the system.

Where the transcript sits in the wider system

The session transcript is the primary evidential input in Mentri's AI ecosystem. Everything downstream — recap, debrief, nudges, Session Prep, and the evolving Companion context — is shaped by it. The Transcriber is what keeps that input accurate and complete without turning it into an admin task.

Coach control and boundaries

Recording happens only when you invite Mentri into the session. Nothing is captured by default. You decide, session by session, whether Mentri is present.

After the session, the transcript lives in your own workspace. You can read it, edit around it, export it, or delete it along with the rest of the client's record.

  • Opt-in per session. Mentri only records when invited.

  • Transcripts live in your coach portal, tied to the client's timeline.

  • Export and deletion are self-serve from your Settings.

Confidentiality and consent

Recording changes the room. Coaches have told us this is the single biggest trust question Mentri has to answer. We take it seriously.

Consent is a shared practice, not a product feature. We support you to introduce Mentri to clients cleanly: who is being recorded, what is being captured, where the recording lives, and how they can revisit it later. Clients can be offered access to their own material on the platform.

On the technical side: all data is stored in the EU, session transcripts are de-identified before being sent for AI processing, and providers never see who the session belongs to. Data processors meet EU standards and sign appropriate data processing agreements.

You can view, export, or delete your data at any time, through self-serve controls in Settings. Export produces an offline HTML archive of your workspace. Deletion is email-verified and permanent.

Where this sits in the flow

Mentri Transcriber sits at the start of the post-session chain. Without it, recaps, debriefs, and nudges would need manual upload to work. Everything downstream becomes easier — and more accurate — when the session is captured directly.
