Mentri learns how you coach, in your own words.
Two context streams — coaching style and approach, and coach development and methodology — that shape how Mentri writes for your clients and how it reflects your sessions back to you.

What it is
Coach Onboarding is where Mentri learns how you coach. It is not a profile questionnaire and it is not frozen at signup. You shape two distinct context streams, and both stay editable as your practice develops.
Coaching style and approach
The practical shape of how you work with clients — what you focus on, how you hold space, and the kinds of change you aim for.
Primarily shapes client-facing outputs: Client Recap, Nudges, and the AI Companion.
Coach development and methodology
Your professional orientation and development direction — the methods and frameworks you draw on, the accreditations relevant to your practice, and where you are trying to grow.
Primarily shapes coach-facing outputs: the Coaching Debrief, and future practice-wide reflection.
How it works
You set your two context streams through a guided setup flow. You can also upload documents describing frameworks or models you already work with, so Mentri has them to draw on alongside your own answers.
Every input is editable at any time. Onboarding is the beginning of an ongoing context record that evolves as your practice does.
What coaches get out of this
Outputs that sound like your coaching.
Space to bring your own frameworks in — including the option to upload documents you already use.
Methodology and development priorities that show up concretely in the Coaching Debrief, not only in setup.
Ongoing control: every input is editable as your practice evolves.
Where these inputs shape things
Coach Onboarding is one of the four context layers in Mentri's AI ecosystem. The style-and-approach stream shapes client-facing outputs — Client Recap, Nudges, the AI Companion. The development-and-methodology stream shapes coach-facing outputs — most visibly the Coaching Debrief. Both stay tied to the inputs you provide.
Coach control and boundaries
Coach Onboarding is yours. None of what you enter is shown to clients or shared with other coaches. It is context for Mentri's AI to draw on when shaping the outputs you already control.
Because every input is editable, the setup experience stays open-ended. If something does not feel quite right, or your thinking develops, you adjust — and future outputs follow your current view.
Private to you. Your coach context is not visible to clients or other coaches.
Editable at any time — style, methodology, accreditations, development priorities.
Uploads supported for frameworks and methods you already use.
Where this sits in the flow
Coach Onboarding sits at the input layer of Mentri's context ecosystem. It pairs with Client Onboarding, which captures relationship-level and client-specific working context per client. Together, the two onboarding streams are what let Mentri's outputs feel specific to this coach, with this client.
